Question
I'm experiencing a burning sensation on the right side of my abdomen, and my bowel movements aren't clear. I've also been feeling feverish, dealing with headaches, and having gas issues for about a month now. These symptoms keep coming and going. I have hypothyroidism and I'm currently taking RabletD and thyroxine. Could these be related, or is there something else I should be worried about?

You may be experiencing symptoms of gastritis or acid reflux, which can be common in individuals with hypothyroidism. To help with the burning sensation in your right side abdomen, you can try taking a proton pump inhibitor like Rabeprazole (brand name: Rabicip) along with domperidone (brand name: Domstal) for better relief. Additionally, for your gas problem, you can take simethicone (brand name: Colicaid) to help alleviate symptoms. It is also important to maintain a healthy diet, avoid spicy and acidic foods, and eat smaller meals throughout the day. If your symptoms persist or worsen, please consult with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.
