Is it alright to keep using mometasone furoate cream on my eyelids and above my lips? I've been on this medication for about a year and it works great, but I came across some articles that say maybe it shouldn't be used on those areas. Should I be worried or stop using it there?

While it can be effective, using it on sensitive areas like eyelids and above the lips for an extended period (1 year) may pose risks: *Risks on Eyelids:* 1. *Skin thinning*: Prolonged use can cause skin thinning, making eyelids more prone to injury. 2. *Glaucoma*: Long-term use around the eyes may increase the risk of glaucoma. 3. *Cataracts*: Prolonged use may also increase the risk of cataracts. *Risks Above the Lips:* 1. *Skin thinning*: Similar to eyelids, skin thinning can occur, making the area more sensitive. 2. *Perioral dermatitis*: Long-term use can lead to perioral dermatitis, a skin condition characterized by redness, bumps, and itching.
