Question

I've been dealing with sinusitis, and after a CT scan about five months ago, it seemed like things were getting better. Most of the symptoms went away once I took antibiotics and used nasal spray. But now I still get this post-nasal drip at night and then in the morning there's mucus in my throat. I don't have a cough or anything like that. Does this mean my sinusitis isn't totally gone? Could this post-nasal drip last forever unless I have surgery? And is surgery necessary if it's not really messing with my daily life?

Your sinusitis seems to be largely healed, but post-nasal drip is a common residual symptom that doesnt necessarily mean the condition is unresolved. It is not lifelong for most people, and surgery is not needed unless the problem is much more severe. You can manage the post-nasal drip with home remedies and over-the-counter treatments, and surgery is not a requirement if your symptoms are not significantly affecting your daily life.
