I've been having some sinus problems and got an MRI of my brain because I've had these headaches and a stuffy nose. The report mentioned mild mucosal thickening in my bilateral maxillary and left sphenoid sinuses. How serious is this? What kind of treatment should I be looking at?

I was laughing at a joke and inhaled quickly, and the chewing gum I was eating accidentally went down my throat. I'm not entirely sure if it went through my food pipe, but now I have a cloggy sensation in my throat, maybe because I coughed a lot trying to clear it. Im worried it might be stuck in my windpipe or somewhere near my throat bone. I don't have any breathing issues, cough, or fever, but the feeling is unsettling. When I try to inhale hard, it feels like something's vibrating near it. Do you think surgery is the only way to fix this, or is there a chance medication could help?
