Question
I've been on Montek LC for about a month to manage my runny nose and allergies. My doctor suggested that I gradually reduce my dosage before stopping completely. Can you give me some guidance on how to taper off Montek LC safely?

Typically, you can gradually reduce the dose over a period of time to minimize any potential withdrawal symptoms or recurrence of symptoms. For example, if you were taking one tablet daily, you may reduce it to one tablet every other day for a week, then one tablet every two days for another week, and so on until you can safely stop taking the medication. It is important to follow your doctor's guidance and not to abruptly stop Montek LC to avoid any adverse effects. If you experience any new or worsening symptoms during the tapering process, be sure to consult your doctor for further advice.
