Question
I've just had some medical tests done and I'm a bit concerned because my SGOT came back at 92 and SGPT is 202. What do these numbers mean for my health? Are there ways to bring them back to a normal range? Should I be taking any specific medication? I don't have any other symptoms or issues, but would love some guidance.

SGOT (AST) and SGPT (ALT) are enzymes found in the liver. Elevated levels of these enzymes may indicate liver damage or inflammation. To reduce the levels within range, it is important to address the underlying cause. This may involve making lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy diet, avoiding alcohol, and exercising regularly. In terms of medication, you can consider taking Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). However, it is important to consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new medication.
