Question
Found out I have a 6mm kidney stone and I'm really worried do I need surgery or can drinking lots of water help pass it naturally? What should I do next to manage this?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
A 6mm kidney stone may be difficult to pass naturally and might require medical intervention, but drinking plenty of water can help. While a 6mm stone has a lower chance of passing on its own compared to smaller stones, increased hydration can still help. Consult a doctor to discuss treatment options, which may include medical management or surgery.
