Question

Hello, I need an urgent consultation for my mother who is suffering from acute stomach pain. She is currently on sedatives prescribed by an emergency doctor at a nearby hospital. I have attached reports showing that she is suffering from pancreatitis, gallbladder inflammation, and liver issues. The doctor has advised admitting her as soon as possible. Since it is Diwali season, I am concerned about whether she will receive proper care in the hospital. I am considering admitting her tomorrow. Please advise on the severity of her condition and whether it is safe to wait until tomorrow? Her LFT report shows SGPT 169, SGOT 186, alkaline phosphatase 150, and GGT 117, all significantly above normal range. I am looking forward to your suggestion. Thank you.

High liver enzymes and diagnosed pancreatitis warrant immediate hospital admission. Delay may worsen the condition. She needs close monitoring and IV support.

Dr. Dhankecha Suggests...

Take a LFT (Liver Function) Test Test or Take a Amylase Test Test
