Question

Hey, I'm a med student and lately, I've been hearing this sound in my ear. I think it might be pulsatile tinnitus. It all started like 34 hours ago after I finished my bath. What could be causing this, and should I be worried?

Pulsatile tinnitus can be caused by various factors such as increased blood flow in the blood vessels near the ear. In your case, since it started after taking a bath, it could be related to changes in blood flow or pressure. I recommend you to try using a white noise machine to help mask the sound. Additionally, you can take Ginkgo Biloba supplement, 120 mg twice daily, to potentially improve blood circulation and reduce the symptoms of tinnitus. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is important to consult with an ENT specialist for further evaluation and management.
