I've been noticing that some of the nerves on my penis have been swollen over the past couple of weeks. They feel kind of hard, almost like there's a blockage. I'm really starting to worry about this sharp pain in my lower left abdomen that spreads towards my groin. The ultrasound showed a 5.9 mm stone in my left mid ureter, around the L5S1 level, and there's some mild hydronephrosis in my left kidney with the upper ureter being dilated. A urologist suggested urgent ureteroscopy, but I decided to try some home remedies instead. After about ten days, I had another ultrasound and it seems like the stone is now in the lower ureter just below where the iliac vessels cross, but there's still mild hydronephrosis and this proximal hydroureter situation going on. I'm really hoping to avoid surgery if possible and would prefer to try medication. Is that a viable option, or should I prepare for the ureteroscopy?
