Question
I'm an 18-year-old guy and my voice hasn't deepened yet. I talked to some doctors and they said I have puberphonia. What can I do to get a deeper, more manly voice soon? Any advice would be super helpful.

Puberphonia, also known as mutational falsetto, is a condition where a person continues to speak in a high-pitched voice beyond puberty. To help deepen your voice, you can try voice therapy exercises. Additionally, testosterone therapy may also be considered in some cases. One medication that may be prescribed to help with voice deepening is testosterone. Testosterone can be prescribed in the form of Androderm patches, with a typical starting dose of 2.5 mgday. However, the dosage may vary based on individual needs and should be determined by your healthcare provider. It's important to follow up with your healthcare provider for proper evaluation and management of your puberphonia.
