Question

I'm a bit worried about my friend who's been dealing with a cold for nearly a week now. We visited a pulmonologist, and he checked her mouth and ears, then performed this thing called fremitus on her chest. But he didn't ask her to say '99' or 'bluemoon' and there was no request for her to cough either. Is it normal to do the fremitus test like this, without having her say anything? Is the procedure different based on the situation? Just trying to understand if this is the right approach for her condition.
