Question

I'm a bit worried after my recent full body checkup. The results showed I have Hepatomegaly with Grade 2 fatty liver. My doctor gave me some medicines to help treat it. But when I looked online, I found posts saying it's best to stop taking medicines since they can harm the liver. I'm confused about whether to trust the medication or follow the advice I saw online. Any guidance would be really appreciated.

If you are a drinker, stop any and all alcohol consumption immediately. Grade 2 fatty liver is reversible through commonly used medication and lifestyle changes. There are liver protective drugs like UDCA which should be started under the supervision of a specialist.

I've been dealing with gastritis for a few months now, and I got diagnosed with LAX LES GERD and H. pylori after an endoscopy. I completed the triple antibiotic treatment for H.pylori, but I'm not sure if it's fully gone. I'm still on acid blockers and antacids because my symptoms aren't getting much better. My stomach always feels bloated, and there's a burning sensation from the ribs down to the belly button, plus some discomfort when it comes to bowel movements. I recently had some routine blood work, and my liver function test showed that my direct bilirubin is a bit high. My total bilirubin is at 1.0, direct bilirubin is 0.3, and indirect bilirubin is 0.7. The SGPT is 19.8, and SGOT is 22, and all the other liver enzymes came back normal. Should I be worried about my liver? The anxiety is really getting to me.

I'm feeling this pain just under my left ribs that kind of feels like a cramp and it extends to my back. It's been like this for two days and hasn't gotten any better. Now there's also a tingling sensation along the base of my ribs and on the right side above my waist. What could this be?
