Question
I'm dealing with a pilonidal cyst that's started oozing a bit of pus and has been bleeding. I'm wondering if it's something that can heal on its own or if I should consider heading to the doctor's office. Is it something I should be worried about, or can it resolve without medical intervention?

A pilonidal cyst may not heal on its own and may require medical intervention. You can try keeping the area clean and dry, and using warm compresses to help with drainage. However, it is recommended to see a doctor for further evaluation and treatment. In some cases, antibiotics may be prescribed, and in severe cases, surgical drainage or removal of the cyst may be necessary.
