Question
I'm experiencing a weird sound in my right ear every now and then. It kind of sounds like a motor running or a continuous 'gu gu gu' noise. I can't quite figure it out. It mostly happens when I'm trying to sleep, and sometimes it just stops on its own. I'm really confused about what's going on. Any idea what this could be?

The whooshing sound in sync with your heartbeat is likely due to: 1. Pulsatile tinnitus 2. Eustachian tube dysfunction 3. Vascular issues (e.g., abnormal blood flow) Consult an ENT specialist or an audiologist for a thorough evaluation and diagnosis.
