I'm really worried about my dad. He's been having a heavy cough at night for almost three years now, about 34 months, and we've tried a bunch of tablets and syrups but nothing seems to work. Can you suggest any medicine that might actually help him get rid of the mucus?

I'm really struggling with chest pressure and tightness and it's been hard to breathe. I've stopped vaping for 3 days now, but the symptoms haven't improved. I don't have a fever, cold, or cough, but I'm feeling really anxious, almost like I have corona. I'm wondering if this could be due to poor eating habits or constipation? But I still feel like I can't catch my breath, and it's really worrying me. I'm wondering if this could all just be in my head or if there's something else going on. What do you think?
