Question
I'm really worried about pulmonary embolism because I read that 80% of cases are only diagnosed during an autopsy. It's kind of freaking me out to think about how often this might go undetected. What are the scenarios where dead space ventilation is observed, and are there any conditions where it's not usually present? I'm trying to understand more about how this works and what signs I should look out for.
