Question

I'm really worried about the redness and deep pain at my IV site, and it's spread all over my arm. Can you suggest any home remedies to help with the swelling and inflammation?

you can try these remedies: Apply a cold compress Place a cold pack or ice on the area for 1020 minutes at a time, 23 times a day. Put a thin cloth between the ice and your skin. Elevate the area Keep the affected limb raised above your heart to reduce swelling and promote blood flow. Massage the area Gently massage the swollen area in a circular motion to help reduce swelling. Stay hydrated Drink plenty of water to help flush out excess fluids. Rest the area Avoid using the affected area for strenuous activities until the swelling goes down. Wrap with a compression bandage Wrap the area with a soft compression bandage to help control swelling, but make sure it's not too tight.
