I'm really worried about whether my breathing issues are related to allergies. How can I tell if my breathing problems are actually because of an allergy without doing a test?

I've recently gotten a blood test because I've been dealing with a cough, and my results have me a bit concerned. My AEC level is 490 cellscumm, WBC count is at 8000 cellscumm, and my ESR is 40 mmhr. I've been dealing with a cough and cold for a few days, and then I started having some breathing problems. I went to a doctor and got some medicine, but it didn't completely fix the issue. I had some tests done like tc, dc, esr, hd, and ige, and even had a chest x-ray. Just got my results back today and my ige levels are almost double the max limit. I'm worried and really want to consult a doctor about what this could mean. Any advice on next steps or what might be going on?
