Question
I've been dealing with perioral hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, and it turns out my sister has the same issue. My doctor suggested I use Kozilite H cream with hydroquinone 2%. Do you think it's safe for my face, and how long should I stick with this treatment? Also, I've had really dark circles since I was a kid, so it's kind of a heredity thing. I don't want to put any hydroquinone cream around my eyes. Could you recommend a good, non-irritating under-eye cream to help reduce them?

1. Hydroquinone 2% is generally safe for short-term use (3-6 months) on the face, but prolonged use can lead to ochronosis, skin thinning, or rebound hyperpigmentation; use Kozilite-H cream as directed by your doctor, and monitor for any adverse effects. 2. For dark circles, consider a non-irritating, hydroquinone-free under-eye cream containing ingredients like caffeine, peptides, vitamin K, or niacinamide; some good options include Kama Ayurveda Under Eye Cream, La Roche-Posay Pigmentclar Eye Cream, or Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel.
