Question

I've been dealing with this weird smell in my nose that only I can feel, and it only happens when I exhale. It's not just a smell, it's like a warm sensation in my chest, but there's no real pain, just discomfort. I have a history of headaches that seem to be linked to weather changes and are usually one-sided or behind my eyes. I'm seeing an ENT who's given me antibiotics and an allergy spray, and there was a little improvement, but the smell came back around day eight of the ten-day antibiotic cycle. I also noticed that drinking coffee makes the smell worse. It's like a dusty, smoky, stuffy, warm odor, and it's almost like I can feel it too. My ENT is planning a CT scan of my sinuses and mentioned that everything looks good from the exams he did with a scope. I've done blood work and urine tests for STDs and other diseases and everything was negative. He mentioned the chance of a brain tumor is extremely slim based on the follow-ups and exams. I'm really puzzled and just want to figure out what this could be. How much further do I need to go to get some solid answers?

A contrast enhanced CT scan of your nose and paranasal sinuses should reveal the pathology.
