I've been struggling with chronic GERD for two years now and it's really affecting my daily life especially the difficulty swallowing food. I've tried medications like Pan tablets and Sucralfate syrup, but they only give temporary relief before the symptoms come back. Is surgery a good option for me at this point? Will it actually provide a permanent solution? The constant discomfort and trouble swallowing from acid reflux are making it hard to function normally.
