Question
I've been diagnosed with sinus disease and my doctor recommended FESS surgery but I haven't tried any first-line antibiotics yet except montek LC. My symptoms are PND, stuffy nose, and sore throat but no major pain or discomfort. Is surgery really necessary without exploring other treatments first?

It's generally recommended to explore non-surgical treatments for sinus disease before considering FESS (Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery). While FESS can be effective for chronic sinusitis when other treatments fail, it's not typically the first approach.
