Question
I've been experiencing a lot of pain right at the top of my butt crack, not the anus but the upper part of the butt. It's really painful when I sit down, although there's no lumps or sores that I can feel or see. I'm unsure what's causing this, but it's pretty uncomfortable. Any idea what might be going on or how I can ease the pain?

You may be experiencing pain in the area known as the sacrum or coccyx. This type of pain can be caused by various reasons such as muscle strain, injury, or even inflammation. To help relieve the pain and discomfort, you can try taking over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen (Advil) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) as directed on the package. Additionally, applying a warm compress to the area may also help alleviate the pain. If the pain persists or worsens, it is advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.
