Question
I've been having pain at the base of my second toe for two months and the x-ray shows a cystic expansile lesion there labeled as possible enchondroma. How serious is this and what treatment options do I have? The report mentions it might need critical surgery - how long would recovery take if that's the case?

Persistent cystic lesion in toe may be enchondroma;benign but may need curettage or excision if growing or symptomatic.Surgery recovery is 4–6 weeks.
