Question
I've been having this pain in my leg, and I'm worried it might be because of my high uric acid levels. Could you suggest what I can do about it? Id really appreciate any advice you could give me.

HIgh levels of uric acid lead to gout. Relief from gout pain can be achieved through NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), such as paracetamol or ibuprofen. The medication to lower uric acid levels in the body is called allopurinol (brand name Zyloric). The dosage of each medication will have to be adjusted based on the your uric acid level reports and active symptoms. Opting for low purine content foods can also help reduce uric acid levels in the body.
