Question

I've been having a ringing sound in my ear ever since my ENT doctor removed some earwax. It's been about 1.5 months now, and it happens for around 5 hours a day, but not all at once. I'm starting to get worried. What should I do about it?

Tinnitus can be distressing! To alleviate the whistle-type sound and improve sleep: *Immediate Relief* 1. *White noise*: Use a machine, fan, or phone app to mask the sound. 2. *Relaxation techniques*: Try meditation, deep breathing, or yoga to reduce stress. *Medical Consultation* 1. *ENT specialist*: Consult an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist for a thorough evaluation. 2. *Hearing test*: Get a hearing test to rule out underlying hearing issues. *Lifestyle Changes* 1. *Avoid loud noises*: Protect your hearing by avoiding loud environments. 2. *Manage stress*: Engage in stress-reducing activities to help cope with tinnitus. 3. *Establish sleep routine*: Develop a consistent sleep schedule and create a relaxing sleep environment.
