Question

I've had fistula surgery a week ago and was told to take Smuth syrup, 15ml dosage, but it led to diarrhea. I cut back to 10ml, which helped with the stool softness, but I'm still going to the bathroom twice a day. Is it okay if I drop it down to 5ml? What should I do?

You can try reducing the dose of Smuth syrup to 5ml, but consult your surgeon or doctor first, as they may recommend adjusting the dose based on your individual needs and bowel movements, and also ensure you're drinking plenty of water and eating fiber-rich foods to support a smooth recovery from fistula surgery.
