Question
I've had a hoarse voice for 4 months and was diagnosed with vocal cord polyps. The doctor prescribed meds for 10 days and suggested a voice test. Will my voice return to normal in 10 days or would I need surgery to get it back to normal

It's unlikely your voice will return to normal within 10 days of medication for vocal cord polyps. While medication can help reduce inflammation and swelling, complete recovery often requires more time and potentially other treatments like voice therapy or, in some cases, surgery to remove the polyps. The voice test is likely to assess the extent of the problem and guide further treatment.
