I've had a sore throat for a couple of weeks now and just noticed a hole at the back near my tonsils. I've been smoking for about two years. Should I be worried about this? What could it be?

My throat's been hurting for a couple of days now, but its not like a typical sore throat. The pain feels like its on the outside at two specific spots, and it doesnt hurt when I swallow or anything, no cold symptoms either. The pain's just there constantly, whether I talk, sneeze, yawn, or even touch my throat. Eating and drinking seem normal though. Is it okay if I have cold foods or spicy stuff? I dont have any trouble swallowing or issues with my voice right now, but its getting a bit uncomfortable. What could be causing this?

I'm really worried because I've had a cold for the past four days with constant sneezing, a runny nose, headaches, and some body aches. Now I've noticed blood in my saliva after trying to spit I had to clear my throat a bit forcefully, and that's when I saw it. I also feel like my throat is really dry and there's a mild pain on the right side of my throat. The bleeding stopped after happening about 5 or 6 times, but I noticed it after drinking water. What's going on? I'm really scared and would appreciate your advice.
