Question
I've had thrombosed piles for the past week and the pain is unbearable can't sit or walk properly. The doctor recommended surgery to remove them but I'm worried because I already had hemorrhoid surgery back in 2012. Is another surgery really necessary or are there other options to manage this?

Recurrent thrombosed piles with severe pain may require surgery if conservative treatments fail; a second surgery is possible but alternatives like laser can be considered.
