Question
I've noticed that my fingertips, right above the nails, have been itching nonstop for the past couple of days. I haven't come into contact with anything unusual, like spices or other common irritants, that might be causing this. I'm starting to worry a bit because it's not getting any better. Could you give me some advice on what might help or if I should be concerned?

Itching on the fingertips, especially just above the nails, can be caused by various factors. Since you haven't come into contact with any known irritants, here are some potential causes and suggestions: Potential Causes 1. Dry skin: Dryness can cause itching, especially during colder months or with excessive handwashing. 2. Eczema: Eczema can cause itching, redness, and dryness on the skin. 3. Contact dermatitis: Although you mentioned no known irritants, it's possible that you may have come into contact with something that caused a reaction. 4. Fungal infections: Fungal infections like paronychia can cause itching, redness, and swelling around the nail. so consult dermatologist
