I've noticed these dark spots on my lower back near my spinal cord that started appearing over a month ago. They don't hurt or itch, but they seem to be spreading, and it's starting to make me a bit concerned. Should I be worried or get this checked out? Any idea what might be causing this?

Could be a condition called Tinea Versicolor. This is a fungal infection of the skin that can cause discolored patches. I recommend using an antifungal medication such as Clotrimazole cream applied twice daily for 2-4 weeks. Additionally, you can use a medicated shampoo containing selenium sulfide to wash the affected area. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry to prevent further spread of the infection.
