Question
I've recently noticed some changes around the head of my penis. Last month, I had a shiny rash that went away on its own, but the head stayed red. There are also these pink papules on the penis ring, and my foreskin has been really sticky with some white stuff inside. I wash with soap every day, but now the skin on the head has become erosive and starts peeling. Im also using coconut oil, but now even the tip is peeling. What's strange is that it doesn't itch or hurt, and theres no sore or lesion. What could be going on?

Based on your symptoms, it's possible that you experienced a self-limiting condition, such as: 1. Irritant contact dermatitis (reaction to soap) 2. Balanitis (inflammation of the penis head) 3. Posthitis (inflammation of the foreskin) To promote healing and prevent future occurrences: 1. Discontinue using harsh soaps; switch to gentle, fragrance-free cleansers. 2. Apply coconut oil or a topical emollient to soothe the skin. 3. Avoid excessive washing or rubbing. 4. Consider consulting a dermatologist or urologist for proper evaluation and guidance. In the meantime, maintain good genital hygiene: 1. Clean the area with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. 2. Pat dry; avoid rubbing. 3. Apply coconut oil or a topical emollient to keep the skin moisturized.
