Question

My dad was just diagnosed with esophageal cancer at Stage IIB and we're really confused about the best treatment options. Should we go for surgery right away or consider chemo and radiotherapy first? The reports show it's progressed a bit and we're not sure what approach would work best for his case. Could you help us understand what treatments might be most effective? We're especially worried about whether surgery alone would be enough or if combining treatments would give better results. The diagnosis has us pretty overwhelmed and we'd really appreciate some clarity on the possible next steps.
