Instead, you can take over-the-counter pain relievers such as Acetaminophen (Tylenol) to help with the pain and discomfort. Additionally, you can use calamine lotion or oatmeal baths to soothe the itching. Make sure to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest to help your body recover from Chicken pox.

Now, this year, I've noticed redness and a sore again. Should I be worried that it's herpes, or is it likely to be something else?
