Eye stroke is a condition similar to heart or brain stroke and occurs due to blockage of blood flow to the tissues in the front part of optic nerve. It usually presents as painless, sudden loss of vision mostly in one eye. Sometimes, it starts with blurred vision, floaters may be seen and then gradually progress to total vision loss. People with Diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disorders, glaucoma, smoking habit are at high risk of getting eye stroke.
