When considering Betnesol (betamethasone) tablets for skin allergies while being treated for intestinal tuberculosis, exercise caution due to potential interactions.

  1. Potential Drug Interaction:

    • Corticosteroids like betamethasone can suppress the immune system, potentially reducing the effectiveness of tuberculosis medications and worsening infections.
  2. Consult Your Doctor:

    • Discuss with your healthcare provider before starting Betnesol. They can evaluate your situation and suggest safer alternatives or adjust your treatment.
  3. Monitoring:

    • If corticosteroids are necessary, ensure close monitoring for any worsening of tuberculosis symptoms.
  4. Alternative Treatments:

    • Your doctor might recommend non-steroidal options or topical treatments for skin allergies that have less systemic impact.

Summary: Do not start Betnesol tablets without medical advice, as it may interfere with your tuberculosis treatment and overall health.
