Can a kidney regain its function after hydronephrosis is treated surgically? Are there any medicines or treatments that can help restore kidney function? The hydronephrosis was caused by a long standing stone blockage.

Surgery can help if treated early. Long term blockage may cause permanent damage. Medicines can protect, but not fully restore function. Hydration, BP control help kidney health. Do Serum Creatinine, Ultrasound to monitor.
