Unfortunately, despite proper treatment and complete healing, an abscess or a fistula can come back. If an abscess comes back, it suggests that perhaps there is a fistula that needs to be treated. If a fistula comes back, additional surgery will likely be required to treat the problem.

I've been dealing with complete rectal prolapse for over 10 years since I was young and now I'm 19. I'm scheduled for TRRPCS surgery but I'm not sure if it's the best option for me especially since I want to join the defense forces. Are there better surgical alternatives I should consider that would fit my active career goals?

TRRPCS is a good option for young patients with prolapse; however, rectopexy or laparoscopic procedures may offer better durability for physically demanding careers.

I'm kind of worried because it's been a month since I had surgery for my anal fissure. They did both a fissurectomy and lateral internal sphincterotomy, but I'm still seeing blood sometimes when I poop. It seems to happen right at the end, just when I think I'm done. Do you think this bleeding could be related to piles? I'm a bit scared and would love some guidance on what might be going on.
