Can thyroid (hypo) patients consume Shilajit tablet at night just to maintain energy level and to cure weakness or dullness?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Shilajit is generally safe for hypothyroid patients when taken in moderation, preferably at night and not near thyroid medication timing. Keep a 4 to 6 hour gap. It may help with energy, but if dullness or fatigue persists, its important to rule out Vitamin B12 or iron deficiency, both common in thyroid issues. Always inform your doctor if youre adding any supplement to your routine.

View allHi, I have severe dark circles. I have tried retinol but it did not have much effect. My mother also has this problem but mine is more prominent. I do a computer job which worsens the situation. The dark circles are brown in color. Which tests should I undergo before taking any vitamin supplements?

My recent lab test report shows: Vitamin B12: 174.6 pg/mL Hydroxy Vitamin D3: 14.82 ng/mL Could you please suggest what this means and what steps or supplements I should take to correct these levels?

My skin is oily and sensitive, and I have been facing this problem for the last 5 to 6 years. I get a lot of acne on my forehead, and my face looks very dull. Day by day, my skin tone is also becoming darker. My LFT, KFT, and thyroid reports are all normal. Please suggest what I can do.
