Could you help me out with something? I've discovered my eosinophil levels are really high at 38.406, and I'm not really sure what that means for my diet. Are there any specific foods I should definitely stay away from? Is it better for me to skip nonveg foods right now? Looking forward to your advice!

  1. Understanding High Eosinophil Levels

    • Eosinophils are a type of white blood cell involved in allergic reactions and fighting certain infections. A high level, such as 38.406, may indicate allergies, infections, or other conditions like asthma or autoimmune diseases.
  2. Dietary Considerations for High Eosinophils

    • Generally, avoid foods that trigger allergies or sensitivities. Non-vegetarian foods are not inherently problematic unless they cause allergic reactions. Focus on a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
  3. Recommended Next Steps

    • Consult a healthcare provider for a thorough evaluation. They may recommend tests or refer you to a specialist, such as an allergist, for further investigation and management.
  4. Lifestyle and Monitoring

    • Monitor symptoms and maintain a balanced diet. Seek medical attention if symptoms worsen or new symptoms develop. Regular follow-ups with your healthcare provider are advisable.

I've been getting this weird swelling on my forehead lately. Sometimes it's on the left and other times on the right. It doesn't really hurt, but there's a bit of itching. It comes and goes within a few hours. Any idea what might be causing this?

The swelling on your forehead could be due to an allergic reaction, skin irritation, or even a mild form of hives. The itching without pain suggests it might be related to an environmental factor, like a change in weather, skincare products, or allergens. If it persists or worsens, it would be a good idea to check with a doctor for a proper diagnosis.

I've had Vitiligo for 23 years and I'm currently taking Tab patchex and using tacrovera solution. I'm really curious about how effective these treatments are. Can you give me some insights?

Tab Patchex contains Pentoxyfylline and is used in the treatment of Vitiligo. It helps in improving blood circulation and reducing inflammation. The usual dosage is 400mg three times a day. Tacrovera solution contains Tacrolimus and is also used in the treatment of Vitiligo. It works by suppressing the immune system in the skin. The usual dosage is to apply a thin layer on the affected skin twice daily. Both these medications have shown effectiveness in treating Vitiligo, but individual responses may vary. It is important to continue using them as prescribed by your doctor for the best results.

I'm really worried because my face has gotten darker since I delivered my baby. The doctor once mentioned that it might be due to the folic acid tablets I was taking. But now it's been over three years, and my face keeps getting darker while the rest of my body remains the same as before I gave birth. There's such a noticeable difference between my face and body color, and it's really concerning me. Could you please help me understand what's going on and what I might be able to do about this?

Post delivery hyperpigmentation is very common and the treatment is a gradual process rather than overnight change. Use Sun protection like sunscreen with spf 30 or higher and avoid direct sunlight.Use skin lightening creams containing vitamin C , Niacinamide , Azelaic acid etc. There are so many different treatment options available like chemical peels, laser treatments etc.Consult a dermatologist and go through proper treatment while maintaining a healthy lifestyle you can get rid of this hyperpigmentation completely .
