Dear Doctor, If a woman takes Duvadilan 10 mg and Susten 200 mg capsules as per medical advice, will these medicines affect the Beta HCG levels in a blood test? Can they cause the levels to drop or increase?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
No, Duvadilan and Susten do not increase or decrease Beta HCG levels. These medicines help support pregnancy but do not affect the HCG hormone directly. If Beta HCG is rising or falling, it reflects how the pregnancy is progressing, not the effect of medication. For proper tracking, its best to repeat the Beta HCG test after 48 hours to see if levels are doubling.
