Dear Sir, I have hepatomegaly with fatty infiltration and no focal lesion. My liver function tests are normal.

Having hepatomegaly with fatty infiltration means your liver is slightly enlarged and has fat buildup commonly seen in people with poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, or alcohol use. The good news is that your liver function tests are normal, which suggests theres no current liver damage. To reverse this condition, focus on eating light, exercising regularly, avoiding alcohol, and managing sugar/cholesterol levels. Its important to repeat liver ultrasound and blood tests once every year.

View allHello, my blood report shows SGOT 67. Is this a serious concern? Please suggest what I should do. I had earlier posted a question about a dry cough for the last month, and the doctor advised X-ray and blood tests. Everything came normal except SGOT elevated to 67. I work in the merchant navy, and if this does not get corrected, I may lose my job as I need to be medically fit every time I go on the ship. Please help. I am very worried about my health and job. Someone said there might be swelling in the liver, which is why the SGOT is 67.

How many liters of water should I drink in jaundice? I am taking boiled water. My SGPT is 150, SGOT 53, and bilirubin 4.

My blood report shows normocytic normochromic cells with macrocytes and ovalocytes, and my liver enzymes are elevated (SGOT is 55.9 U/L, SGPT is 61.9 U/L). I do not consume alcohol or cold drinks. I want to know if it is safe to undergo surgery for dry ear perforation. Also, could these results indicate any underlying disease? Please advise.
