Does the LFT test result vary before and after taking food? Also, why are there contrasting results for tests done within a gap of 4 to 5 hours?

Yes, LFT can show slight fluctuation, but major variations within hours need retesting under fasting. Please repeat the LFT test fasting for consistency. Take this to rule out variability.

Hello, my blood report shows SGOT 67. Is this a serious concern? Please suggest what I should do. I had earlier posted a question about a dry cough for the last month, and the doctor advised X-ray and blood tests. Everything came normal except SGOT elevated to 67. I work in the merchant navy, and if this does not get corrected, I may lose my job as I need to be medically fit every time I go on the ship. Please help. I am very worried about my health and job. Someone said there might be swelling in the liver, which is why the SGOT is 67.
