Had C3R surgery in both eyes a year ago and stopped wearing RGP lenses because they were uncomfortable now just using glasses. Could my eyesight still improve or cornea shape change over time? Do I really need to keep wearing contact lenses after the procedure?

My mom is 60 and diabetic, and we're considering cataract surgery for her. Her eye number is 4.5 - would a trifocal or multifocal lens be better for her? I'm a bit worried about which option would suit her condition best.
