Hey, so I recently found out I have Epididymo Orchitis after visiting the doctor because my right testicle was really swollen. I'm on antibiotics now, but I'm really curious how long it's going to take for this swelling to completely disappear. Any idea what the usual timeline is for something like this?

Swelling from epididymo-orchitis usually begins to improve within a few days of starting antibiotics, but it can take 2-4 weeks for the swelling to completely resolve. Rest, scrotal support, and anti-inflammatory medications can help speed up recovery. If swelling persists, follow up with your doctor.

I'm a bit worried about the mild varicocele diagnosis I got for my left testicle. The doctors mentioned they can't do much. I used to enjoy working out at the gym, but now, any kind of exercise seems to bring back the pain in my abdomen and testicle. I'm curious if going to the gym could have caused this varicocele? I generally stayed away from heavy lifting and mostly focused on weight-bearing and abs workouts. Is there anything I can do to manage this or any advice on what exercises are safe?

Varicocele is usually caused by the enlargement of the veins within the scrotum, often referred to as the "pampiniform plexus." While heavy lifting exercises can potentially exacerbate varicocele, any form of physical activity that increases intra-abdominal pressure, such as weight-bearing and abs workouts, can also contribute to the development or worsening of varicocele. It is advisable to avoid activities that strain the abdominal muscles and increase pressure in the scrotum. To alleviate symptoms and reduce discomfort, you can consider wearing a scrotal support or compression underwear during physical activities. Additionally, you may benefit from taking over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen to manage any discomfort. If the pain persists or worsens, consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.

I've got a 10mm stone in my right kidney. Can Neeri tablets help get rid of it? Or do you have any better tablet or syrup recommendations? I'm really hoping to avoid surgery.

. Most stones that cause renal colic are small and pass out with the urine in a day or so. You should drink plenty of fluids to encourage a good flow of urine. Strong painkillers are often needed to ease the painuntil you pass the stone. No other treatment is usually needed. Some stones that form and stick in the kidney do not cause symptoms or any harm. They can just be left if they are small.

My husband has been diagnosed with a varicocele and his sperm count is low. We're trying to conceive but having trouble. The doctor mentioned surgery as an option but we're wondering if there are other treatments that don't involve surgery. Can you look at his test reports and suggest what we should do next?
