Hi Doctor, I have been a primary contact of two COVID positive patients. I have tested negative by RTPCR and HRCT, and my blood reports are normal. However, I have been experiencing a persistent fever of up to 102F for the past three days. I do not have any other symptoms. I am currently taking Calpol 650 three times a day, along with zinc and vitamin C supplements. Could you please advise if this is concerning and how I should proceed with this condition?

Your symptoms may be due to a post viral inflammatory response or an unrelated infection. Continue Calpol and hydration. If fever persists beyond 5 to 7 days, consider repeating tests. Check for dengue, typhoid, or viral infections that mimic Covid.

View allPlease help me interpret my hs CRP value, which is reported as 14.42 mg/L in my blood test. When I consulted my doctor, they mentioned that hs CRP can increase due to any type of inflammation in the body. I recently underwent an RCT and a tooth implant procedure. Should I repeat the test to reassess the hs CRP level, or is this elevation expected due to the recent dental treatments?
