Hi, I recently received my Widal test report and other blood counts. The results are: S. Typhi O: 1:160 S. Typhi H: 1:80 S. Paratyphi AH: 1:20 S. Paratyphi BH: 1:20 Total WBC Count: 12,200 cells/cu.mm Platelet Count: 2.71 lakhs/cu.mm Could you please help me interpret these results? Do they indicate typhoid infection or something else?

O 1:160 may indicate recent typhoid exposure. Raised WBC supports infection. Clinical correlation needed; antibiotic only if symptomatic.

Take a WIDAL TEST (SLIDE METHOD ) Test or Take a COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT (CBC) Test

The typhoid test came back positive, but there is no fever now. Is it possible that the blood test report is incorrect? Also, can typhoid fever resolve on its own without antibiotics? What other tests can be done to confirm typhoid, and how long does it typically take for typhoid to completely go away? Additionally, I gave the typhoid vaccine to my child, so how is it possible that she is still suffering from typhoid?
