Hi, my son was born on 29th January. He was doing fine until last week. Since then, he has had frequent motions, mostly liquid with tiny white solids. Doctors say he is unable to digest his mothers milk. His occult blood report is positive and reducing agent is also positive. The doctor has suggested feeding him only baby formula. We have consulted two doctors in the past week and are really worried. Please suggest?

These findings suggest lactose intolerance or cow milk protein allergy. Temporary switch to formula as advised, is often done to allow healing. Close pediatric follow up is essential to monitor hydration, weight gain, and stool changes.

My baby was born premature and is now 4.5 months old. He is exclusively breastfed and has had loose motions for the last 10 days. For the first three days, the stools were watery. We consulted a doctor, who gave Bifilac GG twice a day and Zinc and Vitamin D 0.5 ml once daily. Now the stools are not watery but still very loose, seedy, and bubbly. Stool frequency in 24 hours is 3 to 6 times. Stool test shows pH 6 and reducing substance positive. The doctor has suggested stopping breastfeeding completely and giving lactose-free formula milk. He has no other symptoms, is active, and is gaining weight steadily. His current weight is 6.3 kg. Please suggest if breastfeeding should be stopped and what should be done regarding the loose motion?

Sir/Madam, good evening. I have been suffering from digestion problems for the last 40 days. On 10th April, I had fever along with 12 times loose motion, but I got relief after taking paracetamol. My body temperature stayed around 99.4 during the day and returned to normal in the morning and evening for the next 3 days. I took Augmentine 625 thrice a day and Hatric 3 twice a day for 2 days, after which I developed severe acidity problems. My doctor then prescribed me Pentoz DSR and Melzap MD for 7 days, but when symptoms continued, he changed my medicines to Pantoprazole DSR and Normaxin RT for 10 days, which gave me around 30 percent relief. Currently, I am taking Erojole DSR and Udinol 300 twice a day, and this has improved my condition up to 70 percent, reducing acidity, heaviness in the chest, and pain. I am attaching my LFT test and Widal test report. Could you please suggest what the reports indicate and guide me further based on my condition?

I have been experiencing diarrhea for the past 8 days after receiving the Covishield vaccination. My recent blood reports, including CRP and CBC, are normal. Could you please advise what steps I should take to manage and overcome this issue?
